Is Yellow Blush a New Trend?

Isn't makeup getting a bit generic and boring lately? I see  holographic highlighters and warm red smokey eyes everywhere, I know I'm ready for something different.

             When I first saw yellow cheekbones I thought to myself hey, that looks oddly good. 

            Yellow can be warm and saturated and it has much a common with orange and reds. 

But it's also versatile, it pulls a pastel look apart and then puts it back together

Yellow is extremely compatible with pink. A pink to yellow ombre blush is stunning. 

It can blend out most orange and pink blushes out too. 

BUT is it just good for editorial looks?

 Maybe....but I think there is room for this in mainstream make up. But maybe this is all my wishful thinking!
